Almost every Chino Hills property has a grade problem to solve. Backyards drop away, side yards run steeply toward the street, and usable flat space is scarce. Creating that space means retaining walls, and retaining walls in hillside soil are structural work that deserves engineering rather than guesswork.

We build walls with a poured reinforced footing, vertical steel doweled into that footing, cells grouted solid, and — most importantly — drain rock and perforated pipe behind the wall. Water pressure behind a wall is what pushes it over, and no amount of block quality compensates for skipping the drainage.

On top of the walls we build terraced patios and stepped hardscape that turn a slope into a series of usable outdoor rooms. Drainage across those terraces gets designed at the same time so water leaves the property instead of pooling against the house.
